The hiring journey

How hiring household staff works

From your first enquiry to an agreed start, Maid in Pakistan helps you discuss the right role for your home in Islamabad or Rawalpindi. Here is the journey and what to clarify along the way.

  1. 01
    Enquiry

    Make an enquiry

Tell us which role you need and your area in Islamabad or Rawalpindi. You can call, use WhatsApp or complete the enquiry form.

  2. 02
    Requirements

    Discuss your requirements

We discuss household duties, preferred days and hours, live-in or live-out needs, and any relevant experience you are looking for. Explain additional responsibilities at this stage rather than assuming they are included.

  3. 03
    Matching

    Consider a candidate match

Candidates may be suggested according to the role, your requirements and availability. A proposed match is a starting point for discussion, not a guarantee of suitability or an immediate placement.

  4. 04
    Checks

    Clarify applicable checks

Before deciding, ask which screening checks apply to the candidate, what information is available and whether anything is pending or unavailable. A candidate introduction does not mean every possible check has been completed.

  5. 05
    Interview

    Interview the candidate

Meet and speak with the candidate about experience, tasks, timings and expectations. Ask practical questions about your household's needs and discuss any concerns before making a decision.

  6. 06
    Trial

    Discuss a trial, if applicable

If a trial is offered and agreed, clarify its duration, duties, pay and what happens afterwards before it begins. A trial is not automatic; availability and terms need confirmation for your enquiry.

  7. 07
    Terms

    Agree the terms

Confirm duties, working hours, salary, rest time, days off and, for live-in work, accommodation. Ask what agreement or documentation applies and clarify any agency charges or other terms before committing. No standard fee or policy is assumed here.

  8. 08
    Placement

    Arrange the placement

Once you and the candidate have agreed to proceed, confirm the start date and practical arrangements. Placement timing depends on candidate availability and the matters that still need to be resolved.

  9. 09
    Follow-up

    Clarify follow-up support

Ask what follow-up contact is available after the candidate starts and how to raise a concern. Any replacement, refund or continuing-support terms must be confirmed separately; they are not guaranteed by this overview.

Screening, verification and their limits

Screening supports your decision; it cannot guarantee safety

Review what is actually known about the candidate, ask about incomplete checks and use your own judgement. Keep identity documents and personal information private, and do not post them in public groups.
